Writing About Yourself Too Much

Writing About Yourself Too MuchI know this is a controversial subject but what I think is that I write about myself too much and not enough. The best way to really know my abilities and weaknesses as a writer is to write about the things I love.I read a self-help book recently about how to create a plan and a mission statement for yourself. I just love how many motivational sayings are in there and how they point out all the different ways I am self-absorbed, see myself as successful, etc.I am also drawn to those who have succeeded and are living their dream and making money and enjoying every day. I feel like I am a talented writer because I have written a lot and I am the best at what I do.When I am writing about myself, I can use some of my experiences to relate back to my reader and give them tips and advice. If you are having a hard time writing about yourself, all you need to do is put yourself in another person's shoes. I really don't care if your readers are a bunch of wealth y people or a group of recent graduates living in a trailer. You can tell a story about what happened or what was the outcome of something you did that made you a better person or a change that you had to make in order to move forward in your own personal story. Write down the results that you have achieved. That will make it easier for you to put yourself in someone else's shoes.Write about your own business, or some products you sell. It doesn't matter if you are selling lemonade or canning you are creating something that you want to do or just really love doing. It doesn't matter if you are doing it for extra cash or trying to become successful and then putting yourself out there to the world. When you are writing about yourself, I just think about all the ways that I have grown and have benefited from. You can turn short stories into articles or your own eBook or you can write a best selling book or a business plan to follow. There are many ways that you can write about yourself an d build your skills as a writer.
